JOSE CÁNDIDO FLORES APOLINAR

TRIMITAS, DIRIGENTAS / TRUMPET, CONDUCTOR

 

José Candido Flores Apolinar is a trumpet player and conductor. Maestro Flores began his musical training in the tradition of wind bands in his native San Felipe Otlaltepec, south of the state of Puebla, Mexico. Later he entered the Conservatory of Puebla, ending his career as a trumpet player. He participated in the Orchestra Conducting courses promoted by the Consejo Estatal Para la Cultura y las Artes and the University of the Americas Puebla, which are held with the State Symphony Orchestra and the Sociedad Internacional de Valores de Arte Mexicano A.C. (SIVAM). Also he participated in several CONACULTA programs such as trumpet, choral conducting, orchestral conducting and band conducting courses. Maestro Flores attended the Annual Orchestra Conductors Conference (2014 to 2016) held by the “Maestro Navarro Lara School of Conducting” in the city of Huelva, Spain. He has been guest conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Puebla, the Puebla Conservatory orchestra and band, the Tamaulipas Youth Band, the Puebla State Symphony Orchestra and the Hidalgo State Autonomous University Symphony Orchestra.

As a trumpet player, maestro Flores has played in the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Guanajuato, the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, the Puebla Conservatory Orchestra and Band, the Puebla Symphony Orchestra and symphonic bands in the country. He also had an important trajectory as a soloist and chamber music in the formation of brass ensembles.

Currently, Maestro Flores is the artistic director of the Banda Sinfónica Mixteca (Puebla, México) and the Orquesta Filarmónica de las Altas Montañas (Veracruz, México).
