Skirmantė Kežytė

The accomplished Lithuanian pianist, Skirmante Kezyte, has been described as “an unusually sensitive and communicative musician, with the stage presence that is modest and captivating at the same time” (Eugene Pridonoff, pianist, Cincinnati, USA).

She currently lives in Puebla, Mexico, where she is active both in performing and pedagogy fields. Skirmante joined the faculty of the Conservatorio de Música del Estado de Puebla, where she is a professor of piano and chamber music, having previously taught in Escuela Superior de Música de Fausto Andres y Aguirre (Puebla, Mexico), Central State University (Wilberforce, Ohio, USA) and Miami University (Oxford, Ohio, USA).

During her graduate studies at the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (USA) Skirmante participated in numerous chamber music festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival (USA) and Darlington International Music Festival (Great Britain) where she discovered her passion and talent for collaboration with other musicians, both instrumentalists and vocalists. She soon became a sought after artist for chamber music and recital performances with faculty from different Music Institutions across the United States and abroad.
